You can double-click the appointment book day planner to create an appointment at the clicked time.
You can associate a system key combination (e.g. Alt+Ctrl or Windows Key) with a NoteWorks action. See Preferecnes > Actions for more.
You can change a note to use a skin quickly by right-clicking on the caption of the note and choosing a skin from the "Skins" menu.
You can change a note to use a theme quickly by right-clicking on the caption of the note and choosing a theme from the "Themes" menu.
To associate a network address with an address book entry simply open the address book and modify the entry in question so that the network address field contains the ip address or computer name of the destination computer.
You can click once on an item in the Group View to bring that item's note to the top and have it flash. You can click twice to create a note for that item.
You can send items to other people on your TCP/IP network by selecting Item > Send To... > Computer... from the main menu bar.
When printing, you may select the fields you wish to print by pressing the "Select Fields..." button in the Print dialog.
When the right pane displays a list of items in a selected group, you may click on any header and have ToDo sort the items displayed based on that field.
Notes are very customizable. You can choose whether or not the title is always displayed, the type of border it has, the colors and fonts used and much much more. Choose "Account > Preferences..." to modify these properties.
The Calendar View gives you a look at upcoming tasks in a calendar layout. You can double-click on any day to view that days tasks in more detail. If there are no tasks on that day then the New Item dialog will appear with a due date for the day that was double-clicked.
You can press the F1 key in almost any dialog to get information about that dialog. You can also, press the '?' button in the upper right corner then click on a part of the dialog to get specific information for almost any dialog component.
You can make a small ToDo calendar appear under your cursor at any time by pressing the Windows key + C. You can also set the calendar to appear when you left-click the tray icon. See "Preferences > Tray" for more on that.
You can create a new note at any time by pressing the Windows key + S.
When you type a World Wide Web Address or e-mail address into a note's body it will automatically convert it to a hyperlink that you can click on.
You can right-click on the caption of a note and have a menu appear with operations that can be performed on that particular note.
You can move an item to another group by dragging it in the group view to the new group. You can also choose item properties and select a new group from the General tab.
In the Group View, you can drag items from one group to another.
You can press Ctrl+E when inside a note to move to the next on-screen note
You can press the escape key to hide the current note
You can press the Windows key + S to create a new item and note
You can right click a note's caption and select "Copy Look To All Visible" so that all currently displayed notes match the color and font scheme of the selected note.
When sending mail, you can use NoteWorks as your email client OR your current email client (e.g. Outlook Express). Go to Preferences > Mail to set this.
